WINDOWS 95
¡ Windows 98 provides a more exciting
and satisfying multimedia and gaming experience by supporting the following
capabilities and technologies:
¡ A few feature highlights
• Watch TV on the computer. ...
• Adding accessories. ...
• Multiple Monitor Display Support.
...
• DVD support. ...
• Display enhancements. ...
• Support for MMX, AGP, and DirectX
5.0.
¡ WINDOWS XP
¡ Vista Took more than 5 years from
the discharge of Windows XP Used the equal layout as Windows XP with new
functions, progressed security, and progressed consumer experience
¡ A few feature highlights
¡ an updated graphical user interface
and visual style dubbed Aero,
¡ a new search component called
Windows Search,
¡ redesigned networking, audio, print
and display sub-systems,
¡ and new multimedia tools such as
Windows DVD Maker.
¡ WINDOWS 7
Windows
7 Originally codenamed Blackcomb Designed with the purpose of being greater
well suited with packages and hardware as opposed to introducing greater
functions
A few
feature highlights
¡ Windows
Taskbar
¡ The
Windows 7 taskbar makes Windows user-friendly. For example, you can pin items
to the taskbar so that you can open your frequently used programs at
any time with a single click. Right-clicking a pinned item brings up the jump
list, which gives you quick access to recently opened files and important
program settings.
¡ Windows
Action Center
¡ Although
the Windows
Action Center
came into its own with Windows
10, it first made an appearance in Windows 7. Accessed via the little
flag in the lower-right corner, the Action Center alerts you when something
needs your attention. For example, it lets you know when your firewall is
disabled and occasionally reminds you to create backups of your hard drive.
¡
¡ Windows
Aero Interface
¡ Windows Aero is
the design language used for the Windows 7 interface. Aside from touchscreen
support, its biggest innovation, translucent windows, allows you to keep an eye
on your desktop at all times. Features such as Aero Snap, Aero Peek, and Aero Shake
let you resize and move open windows with more flexibility than ever before.
¡ Windows
Themes
¡ Themes
were available with Vista, but they're even better in Windows 7. Themes are
packages of desktop backgrounds and system sounds that personalize your
experience. Prepacked themes are available in the Control Panel,
and you can download additional ones from Microsoft. You can also change
your desktop background to any image on your computer.
¡ Themes
are not available in the Windows
7 Starter Edition, which came with most netbooks.
¡
¡ Windows
Search
¡ Clicking
the Start menu opens a search box to help you quickly find files and programs
on your PC. Search results aren't only presented as one huge list; they're
grouped into categories such as Programs, Music, and Documents. This search
feature, while not as fast as in Windows 10, is faster than the Window Vista
and Windows XP
file explorers.
¡
¡ Windows
Gadgets
¡ Another
feature that was technically introduced in Vista is Windows
gadgets. These gadgets are widgets that run on your desktop sidebar.
You can install
gadgets for Windows 7 that let you track the weather, monitor CPU usage, and
update your social media feeds.
¡ windows 8
¡ A few feature highlights
¡ Start Button. This was a popular
war-cry among those who lamented the interface changes in Windows 8. ...
¡ Boot to Desktop. ...
¡ Search Heroes. ...
¡ More Windowing Options for New-Style
Apps. ...
¡ New Store. ...
¡ More Robust Settings in Modern
Interface. ...
¡ Help & Tips.
¡ windows 10
¡ A few feature highlights
¡ • Start menu
¡ • Using tiles
¡ • How to search
¡ • Task view
¡ • Virtual desktops
¡ • Snap enhancements
¡ • Quick access tools
¡ windows 11
¡ Because Windows updates
are now done in the background, they are 40 per cent smaller and more
efficient. Microsoft Teams will also be integrated directly into Windows 11 for
consumers.
¡ Windows 11 also includes a lot of
widgets and touch gestures along with several other gaming, app, and
utility-based native incorporations.
¡ A few feature highlights
• The addition of Android apps, via a
subset of the apps available via the Amazon Appstore
• The addition of a Weather app on the
Taskbar
• The ability to mute your mic in
Teams, again from the Taskbar
• Easier screen sharing in Teams, from
your Taskbar
• The (re)addition of the clock to
multiple monitors on the Taskbar
• Updates to Media Player and Notepad
¡ The “update” may be delivered in
chunks, so that certain portions of it may arrive earlier than others. For
example, the updated Media Player and Notepad arrived almost immediately via
the Microsoft Store on my PC, but the new updates to Windows 11 via Windows
Update weren’t available when clicking “check for updates” within the Settings
menu.
